The Fuji Files
By jorsillo | March 24, 2010

Call me spoiled. I ended up shooting over 20 sheets of this Fuji film, but only ONE was able to produce anything close to a decent scan. I think I may have been fooled by my earlier attempts with this stuff. The subject matter leant itself better to this level of quality. Not so much, in my opinion, for flowers. What worked so well for a distressed figure study, looks more like blotchy film and sloppy processing to me in this image of the poppy. And the grain… Call me crazy, but I haven’t seen grain like this since the Nikon D2X!
But don’t fret photo fans, I just might have another trick up my sleeve. While it looks as if I may return to digital capture, I am working on a method for analog output. The ultimate combination of vintage and cutting edge.
As always, more to come…
